Popboomerang is now accepting pre-orders for the upcoming “indie supergroup” album by the Sunshine Ponies, featuring Angie Hart and Four Hours Sleep on the song A Beautiful Mess.
Titled Mixtapes & Soundtracks, the album is a musical poems project happening which came about when a pair of accidental poets wrote a bunch of poems and were brave or cheeky enough show them to their fave musical artists who jumped at the chance to put melodies to the words.

I’m a little late reporting, but I’ve been away on vacation. Luckily, Kristine Balfour and Angie’s manager, Will Larnach-Jones have been on the ball posting info to the mailing list.
Angie’s new video clip for ‘Simple’, the second single from Eat My Shadow can now be viewed on Mess and Noise; watch the video for Simple.

Angie’s new album ‘Eat My Shadow’ is garnering some of the best reviews of her career.
The Age and the West Australian, running the same review by Michael Dwyer, give the record four stars, and write, “Sparsely produced by Shane Nicholson, her second solo album is the least embellished and most emotionally potent of the eight or nine she’s made under various umbrellas since 1992.”
The Sydney Morning Herald writes, “The result is her freshest-sounding album yet, a ‘very spontaneous record’, as Nicholson puts it, celebrating what he sees as her best asset: her voice.”

Angie returns with her sophomore album “Eat My Shadow”, set for release on October 23rd. Produced by ARIA award winning producer Shane Nicholson, and featuring collaborations with Mark Seymour from Hunters and Collectors and Ben Lee, the album is full of skillfully written songs with Angie’s much-imitated, never-bettered vocals.
You can click here to get in early and pre-order your limited edition version of “Eat My Shadow” which features a bonus disc of covers of artists such as Neil Young, The Smiths and James Reyne.
