Audiophiles and iPod users can rejoice. It’s not news that Angie Hart has made a few appearances on the American iTunes store. But much of what was there before has since been upgraded to the new iTunes Plus format, and that sounds like news to me!

iTunes Plus offers songs as … DRM-free music tracks featuring high quality 256 kbps AAC encoding for audio quality virtually indistinguishable from the original recordings.

Angie covers The Cure’s “Pictures of You” for a new Transport Accident Commission (TAC) campaign charging drivers to be more responsible on the roads and to watch their speed.

Of the project, Angie says, “have your tissues ready, it is an incredibly moving piece of footage and i feel privileged to be a part of it.

“i am singing a cover of the cure’s, ‘pictures of you’. we will be releasing a full version of this song, in the coming weeks. stay tuned.”

Christmas is upon us and giving is in the air. This season, i [Hart] Angie is happy to present Angie Hart’s May 15, 2005 performance from Tangier, in Los Angeles, now available for download in the Multimedia section.

The show has been publicly available for two years for trade or, intitially, as a bit torrent. It is now available as a standard download for the first time, and features early, acoustic performances of several songs that later appeared on Grounded Bird, some old favorites, and a handful of new songs that have never been released or recorded, as well as performances by Angie’s friends, Sime Nugent and Angela Correa.

For those who have never heard it, the Tangier show is a treat indeed! Merry Christmas!
