What has Angie been up to since the highly successful Month of May shows in Sydney and Melbourne?
She’s currently hunkered down in the studio with ARIA Award-winning producer Shane Nicholson, working on the eagerly anticipated follow up to Grounded Bird! It’s coming along super well, and includes old favourite players as well as some fantastic surprise guests… Expect a new Angie song on the airwaves in August!
We’re also pleased to announce, following on from Angie’s residencies in May with special guest supports, we have a couple more shows up our sleeves. More details coming soon but save these dates!

How do you do this?
1. Send us a link to your myspace page, highlighting some of your songs. Singer-songwriters and acoustic duo’s only please – no more than 2 people on stage.
2. Submissions need to be in by 5pm Friday 31 July 2009
3. We’ll blast out blogs and bulletins on ihartangie.net and via the Angie Hart / Frente / Splendid myspaces, listing all of your suggestions with listening links
4. Let the voting begin! Anyone from anywhere in the world (not limited to Australia) can listen and vote for the acts they believe should play with Angie at the Sydney and Melbourne shows – 1 vote per myspace address.
5. Voting will remain open until week of show! So if you put yourself forward to be a part of it, rally your friends to get in as many votes for you as possible.
The WINNERS in both states will get to open the shows, and take home a bumper Angie Hart pack including ‘Grounded Bird’, Splendid’s ‘States of Awake’, the rare Frente! EP ‘Try to Think Less’, and a personally-autographed copy of the yet to be released new Angie Hart album. How exciting!
